As a matter of fact, yes. The umbral kobold, a variant of a kobold that is balanced with the core book races, is a playable race in Shadowsfall. This particular umbral kobold is named Kurdag. He's an alchemist that loves to throw bombs and making things go boom! He was named by Ed Greenwood and he wrote a story about him, available for download from Paizo.com.
