Free Web Hosting?

I'm looking for somewhere I can store information on the web so that I don't have to waste CDs when I want to transfer a large file from home to work or vice-versa.

Problem is, I'm not sure where to start. I checked out Yahoo, but they only offer 15MB which is a little small for what I'm looking for. I'd like at least 50MB, 25MB min.

It needs to be free though. Anybody have any good experiences with any of these free places or have any advice?

Ok, you can use an RW instead of a CD-R. If that doesn't work, can you use Remote Desktop?

If all of those fail how about PAYING for a cheap webhost? This thread has some suggestions. I am using Ripplehost.com for 5/YR..so you can FTP your files into it.

I'm not familiar with any free sites that offer more than 20 MB or so (though I suppose there are some).

Have you considered a USB drive (one of those little, keychain-size things)? You could probably get a 64 MB one for a relatively cheap price.

How often are you looking at transferring files? You may also need to consider the bandwith quota they provide if you do it regularly.

Also, many sites have a policy against this practice. They do not want their resources used for file storage/retrieval and will boot you if they find usage as such.

Just some thoughts.
