This PrC has just begun to seem extremely overpowered for me because it makes you an unkillable death machine when all the rest that you need in the party to make it unkillable is a decent lvl cleric to keep it's hp above the death mark once it drops the npc('s) that you have set for them to fight. I just want to know what everyone else thinks about this prestige class and ways to handle it if it becomes out of hand in a campaign. :D Thanks.

Actually, all it needs is a bucket of water and a potion of cure light wounds ;)

Well Grog in that case isn't that even worse than what i just said and how would you stop a pc that finds this I say overpowered class.
An NPC who knows about the FB will hire a mage to cast a damaging spell at him and dimension door away, leaving the FB to beat on his allies. Rinse and repeat as needed.

That being said, I think it's a horribly designed PrC. Not only is it an anti-party PrC (bad idea in a game predicated on adventuring as a party), but it also makes it possible to be fully functional at an infinitely negative total of hit pts, and I have serious issues with that. YMMV.

If you're going to be THAT strict, do note that nothing in the drowning rules specifies that once you hit that fateful -1 hp, that getting pulled out / getting healed stops the next step of death.....

I don't think it's a fair NPC. Players have to metagame to beat it. Sure nonlethal works, for instance, if you absorb the -4 to hit penalty, but how often would realistic adventurers think to use nonlethal when it's less damaging than lethal?

Of course, if it's the only NPC around, you can just blind it or bottle it up with magic and walk past. Heh heh.

It's also unfair to allow one in an adventuring party.

The main balance for the class is the danger it poses to friends and alies. Strike one

In a class that makes the 2 for 1 with power attack and a two handed weapon a 3 for 1 an then a 4 for 1. Strike two

And boosts rage by 6 str.Strike three

And won't die from HP lost while out of control.Strike four?!?!?! WTF, quit swinging, you're out!
