With the campaign rules that bases your "Backup" character on your main characters experience point total I am allowed to create a 7th level character.
We use a 32 point buy system for character generation.
Gold per the NPC chart in the DMG.
What are your experiences with the Frenzied Berserker?
What class would you suggest that I start at before migrating into Frenzied Berserker?
The goal would be to create a character that can stand in the front line bashing anything that comes his\her way.
What Stats would you suggest?
How would you spend the gold?
As always character survival is optional![]()
Thanks

My experience...isn't good. NOt that I don't mind the idea, infact..I like it alot; its just that players in past who've used it only do it for the bonus and never play up anything else.
I don't think the berserker ability to should be seen as a totally good thing. In nors myths, its been a bad thing..a curse.
Its a powerful thing, and dont think it should be so easily given out.
yes, barbarians should be berserkers...perhaps rangers who are in a barbarian area...highly trible or clan-like area, or setting.
And, you have to have a reason...I mean, what would make u so mad as to pull down *as in the nors myths* the anger of ODIN to kill your foes...and some times, anyone near you.
Also, it can't just be an on and off switch.
Its a powerful thing, and should be respected...not just given to the minmaxer to let him take out all of his powergaming on the foes or group.
And, the fact that you can turn into this killing machine, I think, from a charcter point of view...shouldn't be your first choice...it should be like "you wouldn't like me when I'm angry" a useful tool, but dangerous....for you and anyone close to you. Remember, hercules killed his own children in a rage....think about it.
Also...only HUMANS..sorry, dont like giving it to any other races.
