What happened to Ed? I liked him an awful lot as Bruce Banner.

Ed had a bit of a falling out with the moviemakers:

There are a few actors I kind of feel sorry for, and Samuel L Jackson is one of them.

You see, there are several guys in this class (Jackson is one, Christopher Walken is another) who can act, and act well, but that's not what they get paid to do. They get paid to play a particular iconic style, and to heck with the fact that they have the chops to do so much more.

So, snakes on a helicarrier is cool and all, but I want to see Sam Jackson do Othello.

Sam Jackson was awesome in Black Snake Moan.

Well... maybe not full. Apparently Eva Longoria and Captain Tightpants himself are being courted for The Wasp and Ant-man.

I thought Chris Evans really stole The Losers. Best character in the movie. And Renner was great in Hurt Locker. So the weak links I see in the cast are Ruffalo and Hemsworth. Don't really like either. We'll see.

Yeah, but by the time the Avengers roll in, Hemsworth will have at least one solo movie under his belt to build up his presence (and MAN, he is a lot taller than everyone else in that cast presentation!).

Ruffalo, otoh, will have only Avengers (maybe he can get a cameo in another movie?), and even then he'll be Banner part of the time and a CGI Hulk the rest of the time.

How terribly disappointing.

Yes it is. Unless they go with the strung out, worn down, selfish jerk version of Banner used in the recent Ultimate Avengers animation. Norton might not be negative enough for such a roll.

anyone else think that response from Norton stank of his hands being tied by "contract obligations"?
