Funniest Rod of Wonder story..... ever.

I am so glad that I was there to witness that whole thing. When the Paladin started rolling and that 6 came up as the first digit I thought I would burst. We now have an artillery piece that fits in our front pocket.

As for the demon thing - I'm not sure Lady Milla (the Paladin) would stand for that.

And to think you guys wouldn't let me (the rogue) have it, because I might cause trouble with it.

Edit: Kinda stealing my thunder with the +32 to hide. At least the party won't be calling me
shorty anymore.

I'll have to ask my DM if I can become a 1/2" tall demon. Though I must admit I do like the idea. :D

Paint yourself blue, and wear a white hat...

(All the cool kids are doing it!)

Hello All,

Alexander Ladon the 1/2" Wizard here, and aside from this being the best night of Dungeons and Dragons that I have ever played, I would just like to say that I very much look forward to taking every advantage of the +38 that I now get to my hide check.

As a question of interest though...

Which should I choose as a method of getting around the dungeon? (Keep in mind that this is the World's LARGEST Dungeon)

a. Continue riding on the Rogue and Ranger to the end...

b. Obtain a Pseudodragon, Screech Owl, or Thrush Familiar (Pending DM Approval)...

or c. Create a Carpet of Flying that is the size of a coaster?

Any opinions will be greatly appreciated and evaluated.
In a dungeon? Ride on one of the other PCs, preferably hidden under a helmet or inside long hair. If you *really* need to move around, a fly or overland flight spell should suffice.

IMX, being 1/2-inch tall is a BIG powerup for a wizard; in my 2e/3e epic campaign, one archmage used to fly around in a form the size of a fly. It's a nice way to get around. Your enemies can't see you, and they have an awfully hard time hitting you even if they can't see you to begin with.

Basically, you just got a template that gives you a +8 to AC and attacks and a +16 to Hide checks. Seems like a good deal to me.

at 1/2" tall, you could build a entire house as a howdah on the back of a cat familiar, which would be quite convenient! Or, you could build it into a fancy helmet for a fighter.

If you've got a monk in the party, figure out some way to use him as a bearer for the improved evasion ;)

Compère: Good evening Mr Stools.

Voice: (from inside box) Hello, David.

Compère: Mr Stools, what makes you particularly interesting?

Voice: Well, I'm only half an inch long.

Compère: Well that's extremely interesting, thank you for coming along on the show tonight Mr Stools.

Mr Stools: I thought you'd think that was interesting David, in fact...

Compère: (shuts matchbox; applause) Mr Alan Stools from Kendal in Westmorland .. · half an inch long. (applause)

Exactly what came to my mind, too.

Construct a Shield Guardian and ride in its head.

Hmm...
d. Skeleton? Giant Skeleton and look out the eye socket?
e. Summoned critter?
f. Decanter of Endless Water... Wahoooo! Splat!

I like the constructed mount approach. Most will not suspect that there is a Wizard inside, which may help you escape if/when the "mount" is taken down.

A smaller, "escape vehicle" could be real fun. The big bad takes down your 8' mecha-robot mount, only to have you escape out a hatch in the back in your Mecha-Cat.

Casting spells out of the eye holes could be real fun.

"Look out! It's casting spells from it's eyes!

Escape vehicle... I like! We killed the Colossal skeleton, then an Advanced iron golem came out so we killed that. Then this stone golem came out so we killed that, then this miniature clay golem came out...

Oh yeah and you might want to buy plate armor for your skeleton...
