Furious Smash and Power Attack

I was wondering: can you use power attack with the Warlord's Furious Smash exploit? For reference, the power says

Attack: Strength vs. Fortitude
Hit: Deal damage equal to your Strength modifier,....(talks about your allies bonuses)

It does not have a damage roll as such. Flavour-wise, it certainly makes sense that you should be able to power attack on a "Furious Smash". What do people think?

It seems that bonuses only get tacked on to dice rolls, not static, small damage effects.

I don't think it would hurt to allow it, but that's the way 4e seems to go, in general.
