I have been hearing stuff about furries and i was wondering what on earth are they? Is anyone here a furry or know of one? Could some explain what furries are????????

Furries are anthropamorphic characters. Imagine people with fur, tails and animal heads, (and usualy big breasts).

There are lots of furry commics, and stuff. Furry games and all kinds of other stuff. Some furry fans are realy intense and dress up in fursuits, big animal costumes. They get turned on by the whole thing and there's furry porn and all sorts of wierdness. Of course plenty of them are not like that and just like the idea of animal people.

Try Google out and prepare to be educated.

I'm not sure if Narnian animals count as furries - they're intelligent, but not (usually) humanoid - Reepicheep is an exception, of course.

As the resident furry, here's the schtick - Being a furry is being part of a virtual community of people on the internet who enjoy imagining themselves as anthropomorphic animals, for whatever reason. Some of us do it because we like the esthetic. Some of us just like the company of other supportive, open minded people, because we have dramatic differences that make us hard to accept otherwise. Some of us are just perverts who like the idea of fooling around with non-humans. (We call ourselves furverts.) We're unusual, but harmless, like gamers.

I work with a furry. She didn't know she was a "furry" until I happened to tell her she likes animals and anthropomorphic critters more than regular folk. She's not a furvert (to my knowledge), she's just obsessed with animals. Can't stop talking about her dog. Loves any Disney movie with talking animals. "Dogs are nice, people suck." "I liked Barkley best on Sesame Street." "Ooooh, a screensaver featuring pictures of lions. I gotta download that."

She's mad furrylicious.
