[Game a Day 15] Twilight 2000, First Edition

It's never too late to try a game out as long as it is still in print. And T2K 1e is available both in print from Far Future, and in PDF. Pick up a copy and play it!

Quicklink Interactive was supposed to come out with a d20 version after Traveller T20 came out. I wonder whatever happened to it.

As I understand it, QLI is pretty close to a one-man operation, and the one man had some personal tragedies late last year that put all of QLI's upcoming projects on hold. That includes the Twilight: 2000 update, the 2320 update for 2300 AD, the Traveller update (re-establishing the Third Imperium after the New Era reconstruction), and the Honor Harrington RPG. I don't know if there's any estimate as to when they'll be able to resume work on all of those.

The system for Dark Conspiracy 1e is the same one used for T2K 2.0, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, and one of the editions of Traveller (T:NE maybe?)

Yup, Traveller: the New Era. I only ever used the GDW house system for Dark Conspiracy, but it worked pretty well. For those interested, the current license holders are The Gamer's Conglomerate. According to their Dark Conspiracy website, they're looking for playtesters.
