Game of Death

Welp, down to missing three and a half characters. The following people need to contact me soon.

Dr. Midnight (need character fixes) or (rewrite)
Belaim (need character.)
EvilEeyore (need character)
Sollir Furryfoot (you mentioned a rewrite, I can work with what I have at the moment but I don't think you qualify for one you your classes)

Everyone else could help me by sending in an icon for your character.

Most of those icons are gotten from Fiery Dragon Productions. Ok, at this point All those marked as ready should have a link to what character sheet I am using for them. If you do not have a link just say so and I will send you a copy of it again.

Hmm, Wonder how much time I should give before I have to go looking for alternates. Hate to drop the person I used my DMs position for.

Have you been e-mailing these guys directly? Do you have an actual reply? I would really, really like to start the game next week.

Kitoy, can you post some stuff about your Game of Death? If things are the way they seem, I think I might have good odds of being in that one, too. I want to start thinking up a character, so the basics would be cool.

I'm basically thinking along the lines of 6th level characters, with an emphasis on melee combat. Missile weapons and magic will be allowed, but I'll be taking some steps to curtail it a little bit.

The setting is a gladitorial arena in a nation that has been conquered by orcs. I haven't totally set the rules in stone, but they will be enforced by archers standing on the walls and, for flagrant violations, by a 20+ level necromancer. They may look something like the following.

1. Participants who stand still for longer than two rounds will be fired on by archers.

2. Participants who do not engage in some sort of combat for longer than 5 rounds will be fired on by archers.

3. Participants who make more than 2 consecutive ranged attacks, magical or non-magical, will be fired on by archers.

4. Participants who violate the rules will be subjected to a magical attack from the afore-mentioned 20+ level necromancer on the fourth violation.

5. Audience participation is encouraged and can influence the necromancer/judge's decisions.

As I said, these rules may or may not change as I get closer to my game. What do you guys think?

Well, using only the core books, it would be almost impossible for me to make a competitive combatant within those constraints. So, if those are the rules you're going with, I'm not going to ask to participate in that one.

Number47, I'm planning on using the splatbooks, the Psionics Handbook and Oriental Adventures. Does that help you out any?

My idea is that this is a gladitorial combat and, if I recall correctly, most gladiators didn't use ranged weapons. I'm not going to specifically "outlaw" anything, but my rules were designed around the conceit that this is a gladiatorial combat for the purpose of entertaining a crowd. If something detracts from the "entertainment", i.e. not fighting or hiding or overusing missile weapons, it would be punished. I also want to move things along so that my GoD doesn't take as long as the first one.

Actually, I assumed you would use these books, which is why I can't compete. I don't own any but the core books. In such a limited competition, I don't think I could create a competitive character with very little access to prestige classes or feats skewed towards melee combat.
