It looks OK. Not at the top of my list, but I can always eat a caesar salad. Others might be more or less thrilled.

It also doesn't really look like a place that Keaton would dig, but I'll ask him tonight when I get home. :)

It's also pretty expensive. Appears to average $17-$20 per plate for dinner.

Even with all the pasta and "Grilled Rib Eye Steak
served with yukon mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and chilpolte sauce" options? I don't want to go someplace ppl hate...:(

I wondered about cost..but while there are 20 dollar entrees, there are also 11 dollar ones...

Definately looks a little out of the eatting adventure radius of my husband and his brother, though I think the Yucca Mango Fritters look delightful.

However - I'd be happy to go sometime, Clarissa. We could have girls night at Bilbo Baggins. :)

They've got quite the wine selection... and I do love wine.

I guess I'm surprised...since I thought there were enough "standard" dishes for the "other" ppl (you know who you are ;) ) Alas, it seems that the varied menu does not appeal to all.

Liz- we'll def have to go sometime...I guess it'd be easier before you move, huh? ;)

Have you guys been to Gadsby's Tavern?

I haven't, but I drive by it very frequently - it's right by my office. I'm told it's good but very, very, very tourist-y (especially in the summer months).

It's weird that you bring it up - I was trying to get the guys to agree to go there this weekend. :)

Well I'm trying to find "unique" Alexandria restaurants...I'm try and eat someplace "interesting" on my birthday if I can. :)
Southside and Union Street are both pretty unique. Southside especially - very cool interior paint job and pretty good food.

There's a hole-in-the-wall italian cafe that is supposedly really, really good... but its name escapes me at the moment - I'll post it tomorrow when my co-worker Melanie is back...

What about the Ted Turner steak house by the theatre?

There's a Lonestar Steakhouse near by, too.

Lastly, if you've never been to Generous Georges Positive Pasta and Pizza Place - you don't know unique.
