I'm fond of fruit, monster burritos from a local resturant, and mongo-sandwiches from Whole Foods, but I take a beating for it with each group I have gamed with as they think it is "health food". I will not claim any of it is heathy, just fresh and tasty. I finally have some of them addicted to some of the chips I bring. Slowly I will break them all of the fast food habit!

Monster burritos... those aren't from Freebird's by any chance, are they? Man, I miss living in Texas. Best food I've ever found. Michigan doesn't have much to compete with good ole fashioned Texas fixins.

I can't believe no one has mentioned our group's perennial favorite - baby carrots. They're easy, munchable, and good for you too.

Other favorite snacks include:
-Chips & salsa. Good salsa, the kind you can get in LA in the refrigerated section.
-Veggie Chips. Not that good for you, but Trader Joes always has 'em, and they're the common offering of one of our players.
-Celery sticks. Usually made by me in 30 seconds with a bunch of celery and a big knife.
-Whatever random chips/candy are left over from the last party someone threw.
-The occasional batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Beverages range from beer to cider to soda to tea, depending on people's mood. We always order dinner, but this is LA so we've gotten everything from Tacos to Sushi.

It's a big improvement over my college days, when the standard gaming snacks were Skittles and Pixie Stix (shudder).

Ok its strange but i bar-b-q for my group. so our food consist of:

hamburgers
hot dogs
french fries
bar-b-q beans
baked potato
jack daniels
captain morgan

I know it seems wierd but DnD is really an excuse for us to get together on mondays and party.

That's not wierd. Back in high school, my friend's mom used to barbeque for us while we played D&D. It was a lot of fun. These days, D&D is just an excuse for me to see my D&D friends, because I usually don't see them as much.

stuffed chicken with a honey-garlic-lemon crust

roast of a wild boar, seasoned with cider and dried fruits
Quiche Lorraine
different stews
potato and veggie fritters
chicken parts, mediterranean style
spicy pork meat balls with rice and veggies
different lasagnes
and lots of other tasty, delicious stuff...

About the music: mostly it's something from Loreena McKennit, or a film soundtrack..

The two other groups I'm in rely mostly on pizza or the like, chips of all sorts, chinese food, coca cola and sometimes beer..quite a contrast...

My wife loves my gaming buddies so she makes an appearance at every game and cooks us something nice.

We have anything from homemade tacos, to grilled chicken/mashed potatoes, to Seven Layer Dip. I usually make a bowl of Guacamole Dip (expensive but good) to add to the mix. During the summer we have BBQ, during the winter we will occasionally have a big pot of chili.

As far as snacks, one player always brings plenty of jerky, mountain dew, chex mix, and ritz snack mix.
