The other poll was skewed (e.g. 10 years for some answers, 5 for others, 4 for others, 3 for others), so I decided to put up a poll similar to the one that Umbram linked to.


Basically, this poll asks the question: Out of people interested to some degree in 4E, what year were you born?

This poll does the same thing, but does not create artificial marketing groups based solely on the age numbers you happened to pick.

And this poll is not random. If this poll is random, than so is yours.

Choosing proper words is key to understanding.

Choosing proper poll options is key to getting the big picture. Segregated down like this to individual years, a marketing organization can get more information than from your poll. Is your 31-39 group a bunch of older 37 to 39 year olds? One cannot tell from your poll. Why is it 31-39 for one group (9 choices) and 40-49 for another group (10 choices) and 20-24 (5 choices) in another group?

This is how politicians make up polls. They skew the options so that people get a slightly different impression than what the real data indicated.

I'm curious to see, when more folks have voted, what kind of "bubbles" will be demonstrated. I have this intuitive sense that we'll see pockets grouped around certain years; I don't know why I think this at all. I suppose we'll see.
