5 feet tall, so small that people say slight breeze could blow me over and unlike most Asian women I inherited a generous chest, hips and a butt (thank you J-Lo for making those attributes popular!) so I am really the opposite of the stereotype.
Why, oh why did I not run into you at a game shop while we were both in Houston?

Where did you shop BTW? Nans? Third Planet or Gamesmasters?
As to stereotypes? I think the stereotype is changing. With MMORPG becoming a bit of an obsession for a large part of the population, and fantasy and comic movies becoming mainstream it is not such a stigma to say one plays DnD. My players over the years have included a model (not famous), a lawyer, a schoolteacher, a 350 lb man with a better social life than many, an otaku who was obsessed with hockey, goth princesses, several IT professionals with very active social lives and one even had a tan. We have been pretty, practically deformed, geniuses and somewhat less than average, popular and shut ins, artists and barbarians.
I don't think I fit the mold, at least not comfortably. I'm 5'11" which for a hispanic is pretty tall, broadly built and muscular, but with the bit of a paunch most of America is saddled with. With a well trimmed goatee (van dyke, actually), good clothes, and fastidious hygeine, I am pretty socially acceptable. I'm not a pretty man, nor am I the Elephant Man. I can be most charming when I choose to be, and have often been described as gregarious, urbane, sweet and confident. Even with all of these traits however, I read comics, collect anime, play DnD on a regular basis, watch Cartoon Network more than Friends and spend most of my time alone. When not doing these thing though I play volleyball, kayak, shoot ppol, drink fine wines and liqour, listen to jazz, and go to as many concerts and plays as I can.
If only Vin Dielsel could really make DnD cool, and then the stereotype would fade.
