I have seen the later half of it. Here are my commments clipped from my Gencon Socal report at Blue Devil Games:

I also watched the making of the next Dead Gentlemen movie, Dorkness Rising. That looks like it'll be a blast!

Now, while the former mentioned gamer movie was good fun, while I was milling about the exhibitor area someone approached me about another movie. Named suspiciously like the Dead Gentlemen's. I even had to walk over to the booth and compare the movie names.

I thought "heck, I'll check it out and see". I ended up being late thanks to getting distracted by all the pretty gaming stuff, but showed up maybe 40 minutes into the movie.

At first, when others laughed at the scenes in the movie my reaction was, 'that wasn't funny'. Then it progressed to 'still not funny', 'ok, that was mildly amusing', 'hah', 'ok, that was funny'.

Let me preface this with the statement, I generally enjoy cartoons like Family Guy and South Park. But sometimes I say to myself, "I can't believe they did that!"

This is almost a live action version of that. Except, well, due to the fact it is about gamers, I felt myself getting more offended the more I thought about it. This movie mocks gamers and in a bad way. I literally can't tell you about some of the character's jobs because they aren't exactly family friendly and I assume Justin wants to keep his boards accessible to all.

They don't actually follow the typical stereotype of smelly, overweight, awkward around the opposite sex gamers. No, I'd prefer to be on that list thank you. These losers even go so far as to sabotage each other.

So, I must stress that if someone mentions a gamer movie to you, make sure to look for Dead Gentlemen Productions.

Dave Hanson is a friend of a friend, so I saw this at a sort of pre-release screening. Yes, Kelly LeBrock was there.

The movie had some hilarious moments and some groan-worthy moments. In general, it felt like a Farrelly Brothers movie: funny, but sometimes a little too over-the-top for my tastes.

No fans of celebrity fit club here apparently?

She was a contestant last season. Nice lady.

She seems very nice, and used to be one of my fantasy women...I think she was married to Steven Seagall too? Kinda like a previous model of Elizabeth Hurley.

My problem with her now, same as Tawny Kitaen on Surreal Life, they have so much Botox they are wearing a mask. Such beautiful people, such bad technology.
