[Games Workshop] Another Price Raise!?

Aren't the Rackham minis pretty much the same if not more expensive than GW? I like Warmachine, Ral Partha and RAFM myself...

I don't know what it's like in the states, but here in Euro-Nations Rackham ist slightly cheeper, and you need less minis. However, They have lost marketsales to Warmachine / Hordes, at least in my corner of D-Land

Then when you get into units and warmachines, the prices are the same. Units in Warmachine are 30- 50 dollars, so are Warhammer's. Big mean looking monsters and dreadnoughts, both games like 50.00.
well, i´m not a very vocal member of the community (most of the time someone is quicker to point out what i´m going to say anyway...), BUT:

you are kiddin, right?? i had a quick look just now and a dreadnought goes for $$45,00 (furioso Dreadnought) and a heavy Warjack goes for $$20,00 - $$24,99. So, you dare say again the prices are comparable???? oh and on the point of infantry: warmachineinfantry is 100% metall, wheras gwInfantry is almost always plastic.

im at work right now, so this is kept short and sweet, but i thinkl i made my point.

so, please, najo, when u compare prices, do it right or leave it be.

oh and to make it clear: i´m no GW-Hater, just feed up with guys that go "GW is great, no matter what reality says..."

What annoys me most about GW pricing is there is very little bearing on what the figure actually cost to produce, more on what it cost to field on the battlefield. So a box of plastic Imperial Guard will contain twice as many miniature using the same volume of plastic, as a Space Marine box. Even thought the molds and materials will cost the same.
