For those who are interested,

ICE is sponsoring a Gaming Cruise. This is a nice Carribean cruise upon which you can enjoy everything the cruise can offer plus get in lots of gaming, along with some free swag!

The catch is that the systems supported for this cruise are Rolemaster and HARP (ICE's newest system).

Too bad then that they did not do this.

However, not only are we going to have seminars and be running games for folks, but we will also be asking those planning on attending what sort of seminars that they would like to see.

The whole idea is to enjoy a 5 day cruise and get in a lot of gaming. If this works out well, we are likely to invite some other companies to help sponsor it in the future (and given the number of d20 related companies, there is an excellent chance of us inviting one or more for future cruises).

The wife of one of my gaming buddies has been trying to get our group interested in something like this.

She loves cruises, but he is fairly luke-warm on the idea.

Her hope is that all of the guys can spend a big chunk of their time gaming, while all the wives and kids can do all of the other fun cruise things.

I don't think it's gonna work for our group though, 'cause the general consensus is, "why pay thousands of dollars to game, when we can do it at home for free..." I think they also need to take into consideration keeping the rest of thier families happy, but who am I to say...

Heh heh, I think it's tough to tell a gamer why there's value spending thousands of $$$ on a cruise when it COULD be spent on...GAMING!! :)
