Gaming in the Occident

I game mastered for some Occidentals from the United States before. I heard that they were from a large group in LA. They were different than what I'm used to. The United States players were good at roleplaying, but did not cooporate much. I thought that it was a language barrier, but apparently it was not. I was told that there are some game stores in LA. I think some people there know about the Dungeons and Dragons game. It's a US-made role-playing game, and kind of like Sword World.

Ok, this is something I'm curious about after it popped into my today. Does Roleplaying exist outside of Asia?

Because inside of Asia, it's too dark to see.

On ENWorld and other gaming forums I've seen posters from the Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Japan and even India, but I have never (that I remember) seen a post from someone in Uruguay, Ukraine or there abouts. So, I am wondering do RPG's not go down well over that side of the world, am I not looking hard enough, or something else?

Someone is having fun at my expense! ;)

I have seen a few posters form Uruguay, but also from Russia. Of course I have seen a handful from Brazil too. (Klaus comes immediately to mind.)

Not many from Africa % wise, to be sure. But - Eurasia and Africa seem to have the lowest percentage, I guess.
