How many gamers out there have their significant other nagging them about the amount of gaming or gaming related activities?

This can include only significant others- parents don't count, though I will place a voting area for Other which includes everyone not SO.

“You aren’t gaming tonight!”

“I game every Saturday. You know that.”

“Not tonight. I want you to watch some stupid movie with me that you have no interest in while I knit and pay no attention to you.”

“I work hard all week this is what I am doing tonight. If you want we can do that tomorrow.”

Like sledge says, this poll is missing a fourth option: when your signifcant other asks "why aren't you working on the game? Can we game tomorrow night? I want to level."

Happens to me all the time. :)

Some of the players I have had in my gaming circle over the years have had this problem. They game one night a week and yet their other halves seem to object or moan about it.

Thankfully I don't have that problem.

No problems. I play every Sunday, but the kids are in that group. I play every other Wednesday, and she doesn't complain. I guess she prefers that to her friend's husbands going out and getting drunk 2 - 3 times a week.

I have much the same 'problem' as Sledge. If I so much as hint that I'm bored and trying to find something to do, my boyfriend is rolling a character for a one on one game or asking to do some downtime/roleplay for his character in the game I run for our whole group within five minutes.

I am ashamed to admit that I was once the nagging girlfriend who *hated* the time he spent gaming. Fortunately, after a month or so of this, he took me along one week and I immediately saw the error of my ways :)

My girlfriend lives in California, and I'm in Sydney. Most of the games I've played in happen in the evening, when she's long in bed (right now, 5 p.m. for me is midnight for her).

Even if she was here, well . . . she's a gamer herself, so. :)
