Gaming W/Jemal: Legends (3.5e d&D) *Recruitment Closed*

Then I leave it at Sal's descretion. If he declines, then I'll drop the items, since there isn't really anything else I can get that would be useful other than perhaps that Vest of Escape or a slew of wands *shrugs*

I'm fine crafting these for you... it's only fair payment for the XP i get to use :)

I may put a contingent Heal on myself Jemal & will add the bloodline shortly

Salthorae, just out of curiosity, but how would you get a contigent Heal? You don't have Craft Contingent Spell, and Contingency is a wizard spell.

Is it one of your domains?

Miracle is a beautiful spell in it's ability to duplicate any non-cleric spell of 7th level or lower w/o an XP cost. Contingency is Sor/Wiz 6...

It's pretty woth it every 20 days or so to burn a 9th level slot to get a 20 day contingent: Heal I'd say.

I've noticed a problem. You seem to be under the impression that you keep your gear-bonuses when shapechanged, but gear melds into any form incapable of wearing it. Your bear form is a different build altogether from humanoid, and therefore can't wear any, and your planetar is Large sized, thus nothing fits. The ioun stones you keep in all forms, you can still use your sizing weapons in any form capable of wielding them (Such as the Planetar), and your shield will continue following you, but everything else would meld. Shapeshifting is a powerful ability, but it does have a few drawbacks.

Size And Magic Items
When an article of magic clothing or jewelry is discovered, most of the time size shouldn’t be an issue. Many magic garments are made to be easily adjustable, or they adjust themselves magically to the wearer. Size should not keep characters of various kinds from using magic items.

There may be rare exceptions, especially with racial specific items

The following is part of the text from Alter Self, upon which Shapechange is based:

When the change occurs, your equipment, if any, either remains worn or held by the new form (if it is capable of wearing or holding the item), or melds into the new form and becomes nonfunctional. When you revert to your true form, any objects previously melded into the new form reappear in the same location on your body they previously occupied and are once again functional. Any new items you wore in the assumed form and can’t wear in your normal form fall off and land at your feet; any that you could wear in either form or carry in a body part common to both forms at the time of reversion are still held in the same way. Any part of the body or piece of equipment that is separated from the whole reverts to its true form.

Items do merge during wild shape however.

Voidrazer: The DM isn't just commenting on the size of your items but is also commenting on the fact the the items are not made to be worn by a bear (such as rings not being made to fit on a bear's paw, which is different from a human hand). Items will resize themselves, but they won't change the way they are made.

For armor you'd need the "Wild" enhancement, and I guess you might be able to get that added to some items that aren't armor too?

Jemal, i have a level progression tab, showing every major gain, level by level... I will show how i got the ability scores, no problem. I am applying Enerrgy Admixture to specific spells, which will be listed in the spells tab once i finish it. I thought (and you may correct me on this) that i only need to finish the spell selection and take out the gold cost for spell scrolls? Everything else (skills, feats, items, HP, saves, background, appearance) i think i have finished? Let me know if you are not happy with a particular tab.

The age was chosen for a reason - i figured it would take some time for an Elf to reseearch her heritage and roots, and to reach level 20. Also, i like the background story where she is a recurring benefactor to her foster family.

It is only a time issue if spell selection is the only major thing to finish - i will finish the list soon i hope.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I don't plan on having Kaethrynne actually take on bear form. The level of Bear Warrior is to qualify for Warshaper. The plan is to use scrolls of Shapechange to take the form of humanoid-shaped outsiders.

Shapechange is admittedly broken, but even with it in effect K.'s pre-frenzy numbers seem to be pretty much in line with the other front-liners (about the same to-hit, lower HP, better saves and AC, damage is a mixed bag). But Kaethyrnne would be alot more adversely affected by a targeted dispel than the others. And knowing Jemal, that weakness will get exploited.
