Gaming W/Jemal: Legends (3.5e d&D) *Recruitment Closed*

OMG.. If it was only the SRD i'd have chosen my spells by now. But the SC and CA books give so many choices to wade trough... And i can't really neglect them since i'd get paranoid that i'm missing some gret spell!. I will finsih my character by tonight though (US time). BTW i definately can't fit in with 4 spells known per level, there are a great number of utility spells it's useful to know. How much do spell scrolls cost?

*blinks* isn't it 4 at level 1 plus 1 per level? so 4 + 2 = 24 I'll change it to 23 if you guys say so though, sorry i'm still new :D

Maximum Ranks in a skill it is always Level +3. I.e. a 20th level character's max ranks is 23, while a 7th level character's max ranks would be 10. By your logic above it is actually 4 + 19, because you already did level 1 and are doing the other 19 levels = 23.

Check out the chart on the SRD with Base Prices for Scrolls

you also need to factor in any expensive material components (by spell) and XP costs (again by spell) that would make a particular spell scroll more expensive.

One of your magic items should be Boccob's Blessed book, it means you don't have to pay the 100gp/page to scribe a spell into your spellbook, and it also has 1000 pages to work with, which is nice because # of pages = spell level in a spellbook (i.e. 9th level spell takes up 9 pages).

THough the spells you gain naturally for leveling up are "free", you don't have to pay the 100gp/page cost on them, or spend time writing them in, they're part of your 'ongoing research' you do as you level up.

Scrolls are spell lvl X caster lvl X 25 GP.

One more time to make sure people see it:
Everybody please be sure to incude your Bloodline at the top of your character sheet.

Now then.. I went over the rogue's gallery again:

Still needs to transcribe the sheet & make appropriate updates.

Ethandrew
Still needs to make previously posted changes

Voidrazor
I've noticed a problem. You seem to be under the impression that you keep your gear-bonuses when shapechanged, but gear melds into any form incapable of wearing it. Your bear form is a different build altogether from humanoid, and therefore can't wear any, and your planetar is Large sized, thus nothing fits. The ioun stones you keep in all forms, you can still use your sizing weapons in any form capable of wielding them (Such as the Planetar), and your shield will continue following you, but everything else would meld. Shapeshifting is a powerful ability, but it does have a few drawbacks.

Also don't forget to put a note in your equipment section as to who crafted your items (And with who's XP)

Shayuri
Your contingent Dimension door needs to have it's distance and direction predetermined (ALL factors of a contingent spell must be set when the contingency is set. IE: When I am swallowed, dimension door 100' UP)

Rpgramen
Don't forget to put a note in your equipment section as to who crafted your items (And with who's XP)
You still haven't explained what your non-core items do and where they're from.
(Specifically: Infinite Scrollcase, Field Provisions Box, Spool of Endless Rope, Armbands of Might)

Salthorae

Myth
Your ability scores need to be broken down (See other sheets)
Don't forget to include a class features section, somewhere you can write down what you gained from your levels in Savant and Archmage.
You need to note which element you're applying Energy Admixture to (It must be taken once per element, like substitution. the Mastery of Elements fro Archmage just lets you take them all without the pre-req feats.
Most of the rest still needs to be finished. Is there anything in particular you need help with, or is it just a time thing?
Also.. is your age random or did you pick it for a reason?

Updated. With a fancy new background.

I also have about 26,800gp left and 10,000xp. If anyone has any ideas and/or suggestions, I'm all ears. But right now I'm ready to call it good.

Jemal, you mentioned Tumble and I made the requisite skill changes but am curious as to why/how you feel this will be beneficial. I'm assuming if I tumble through a danger-spot that I'd only get one attack and the subsequent rounds I'd get my typical seven attacks, but is there anything I'm not seeing?

Where they're from has already been listed in the RG under the Crafting Breakdown sblock, sir. As to what they do, they've been added. On the subject of who crafted them, I'd probably wager that it was just some non-descript NPC Wizard out to make a profit (or Chevik, assuming he's got Craft Wondrous Items and Sal is kosher with the idea.) They're not particularly potent items, except for maybe the fortifying bedroll, so I kinda figured they'd be relatively mainstream in a pro-magic world.

But I'm rambling. What the requested items do has been listed in the same sblock as mentioned above. All items have been crafted from Sabastian's Experience Pool for simplicity.

I've specified earlier that all crafted items at game-start must have been crafted by another PC whom has a background connection to your character, and thus a reason to lend their time and assistance.

Ethandrew - As I stated before, With 5 ranks in tumble, you could fight defensively to take a -4 atk penalty for a +6 ac bonus, which is a better AC booster than expertise. Also since Tumble is a trained-only skill, it gives you adde mobility around the battlefield without provoking attacks of opportunity. I fail to see how either of this is NOT beneficial for a mere 5 skill points.
It wasn't a required change, but a suggestion.

Then I leave it at Sal's descretion. If he declines, then I'll drop the items, since there isn't really anything else I can get that would be useful other than perhaps that Vest of Escape or a slew of wands *shrugs*

Interesting. I caught this and put a new attack line reflecting that. What would Fighting Defensively be without 5 Ranks in Tumble?

And I made the changes because I figured I didn't reeeeally need a 40 Jump score, 30 works just fine.

Jemal, I went ahead and deleted the Dimension Door contingency. Since Sigil has Flee the Scene it's hard to imagine a situation she couldn't use that to escape a swallow. I had other "teleporty" contingences in there too, but I wound up replacing them. I think this one was just an oversight.

Added 1400gp to gold on hand, and 112exp to available crafting reservoir.
