Oops.... yea I guess it is every even level.. I thought it was odd..... you know maybe I should just progress as barbarian.... I mean seriously I can't think of ANY more fighter feats I'd really want to take than the ones I have right now.... I mean I guess I can look at comp. warrior for some alternate feats..... but as you said if I can't take thick skinned as a fighter feat I'm a little limited on what I can snag for good tank'ish feats....

EDIT: Never mind... looked through the Comp. warrior as well and really.. aside for a couple of rage mod feats that might be semi-OK.... I'm out of ideas for regular feats.... anyone got any suggestions for regular feats that Arineil doesn't already have?

Jemal - I realized that I have a typo in my Knowledge (History) modifier and faield to type in my Heal skill modifier to the skills block. With your permission I will edit those.

Also don't know if you saw my question about redeeming evil items from Book of Exalted Deeds? It would be horrendously expensive in terms of xp cost for this Breastplate (28,000xp), but Chevik would much rather try to rally support for that than sell an evil item of this power...

Rathan : Have you thought about preparing for entry into an EPIC Prestige Class? I've looked through the ELH, and Legendary Dreadnought would be a fitting addition to your concept - Extra HP, Extra DR, extreme defensive AND offensive self buffs... and a bonus epic feat every 5 levels.

You'd need to be lvl 26 to get into it, but it's something you could start aiming for. You'd need Combat Reflexes and Improved Bull Rush as feats, so 4 more lvls of fighter could get you those, then a level of.. anything, really - and then your 26th lvl could be Legendary Dreadnought.
And yes, I do plan on the campaign getting that far.

Speaking of which, to Shayuri's comment on levelling:

jemal[/B]]Your characters have all recently ascended to the height of mortal power, but due to the power of your bloodlines, you have the ability to go even further. As such, you've sought out the Elder Prophet, who has guided the bloodlines throughout the centuries. He informed you that as your ancestors before you, a quest must be completed to unlock your full potential. Deep in an ancient tomb lies an artifact of great evil. This artifact is in the possession of an evil warlord long dead, and the Elder has forseen that if this artifact is not destroyed within the month, the warlord will rise again, bringing his fel armies with him against the world. If you can stop this from happening, you will realize your true power.
The beginning of the campaign is going to be very slow for leveling, as part of the reason you're on the quest is to learn how to transcend the mortal boundaries.. Some of your characters have been stuck at twenty for some time: this quest is the only thing that can get you past the 'power cap'. You'll be gaining item & Bloodline power-ups, but until you've reached a certain point in the current quest , there will be no level ups. At that point you may gain up to two levels, depending on how I think your characters have grown.

The only potential problem that i see with this is the XP cost for Wish and epic spells.
We now get a 10,000XP pool to work with until next level - that's good for two regular castings of Wish. A "normal" character that needs to advance between 20-21 would need hundreds of thousands of XP, and thus if he/she chooses he/she can use all that XP towards spellcasting. On one hand we have free XP used as a resource and not tied to leveling. On the other, epic spells will be hard on the Spellcradt DC without an XP cost to midgitate the effects.
actually, advancing from level 20 to level 21 requires 20,000 XP. you HAVE hundreds of thousands total, but you cant' use enough XP to drop your character a level. Perhaps i should explain it this way:
By level 24 if you were to use 10,000 XP per level with my way, you would still be level 24, but have used 40,000 XP.
In a 'normal' xp system, if you used 40,000 xp while the party was levelling from 20-24, you would have 236,000 XP, and be only 1/4 of the way into lvl 22, while the rest of your party would have 276,000 XP and be lvl 24 characters.
As you can see, Spending the same amount of XP in a normal game as you can in my system would cut your levelling speed in half.
I've been thinking lately that I'm giving you guys far too much XP to play around with this way... unless you wanted to spend your XP on epic spells and wish instead of ever levelling again.

I think it's important for us to figure out the plan for not only this breastplate but other items we might procure during this adventure. This armor is unequivocally evil, but were it redeemed what then? Do we sell it and split the gold? Does someone in the party take it and if so, do they compensate the other members or no? What's our S.O.P.?

Yes to the first part, and as for the second I'd be ok with redeeming evil items, but this one's a bit beyond anything a mortal could ever redeem (Though you don't know this IC yet)

i really think that i have put forth the best choice so far, yes we could go out of our way to peddle it to a random arms dealer and take a significant cut to the value, or we could do as i said and give it to my employees, aka my followers, this is how you use followers in epic not as a fighting force but as the minions that do you beck and call. yes it may take a while and we'll not likely get full market price but it is a better explanation to why we can sell random loot to people and also it means that Jemal can give us random loot and have a set value that we can get for it rather then just giving us a sackful of gold. also is it near the end of the week? middle? end? i've got like 2-3 hundred people waiting to make craft, profession and also some perform checks.

ishalleatyourflesh - that is true that you have given the best option from a profit stand point, since the group would gain ~ 350k gp at 1/2 market value for the item, but from an IC perspective, why would a group of Good aligned characters sell an item that radiates evil, that only evil creatures can use w/o penalty?

Chevik certainly doesn't want to destroy the item as that would violate Boccob's dogma re: magic items, but he would rather see it redeemed than sold... unless we could somehow guarantee that the only purchasers would be a good-aligned church that is paying to buy the item to redeem it somehow.

uh when you put it *that* way, i'd rather i never opened my big mouth and we stay as we are :)

The item and hordes of followers: As lvl 20 characters we are all bound to have some influence, but i always thought that was fluff untill the DM decided to work it in the game. Sigil has the Leadership feat and thus has a fey cohort, but i didn't think that just trough character backgrounds we could have such useful things as networks of underlings doing things for us.

As far as the breastplate is concerned, Sila would rather itnot fall in the hands of evil characters. She is not religeous however, so redeeming it from evil is beyond her immediate concerns (she does have Knowledge: Religion and thus probably knows about it as a process though). We can just RP it out IC i think.

Flesh isn't talking about 'fluff' or 'background', he too has the leadership feat. He spent a feat and 25K GP to buy a HQ and form a trading guild.
