Gen Con - Good bad and ugly

Ugly
Still haven't found a good grocery store in Indy. My 2 mile walk to the Safeway through nasty neighborhoods and oppressive heat was *definitely* ugly.
Dang dude, just ask next year. I used to live in Indy and am still down there enough to know it well. I'll even drive!

The Good -

* Meeting a lot of EN Worlders (I will see how many I can name: Dextra, Piratecat, The Gelflings, The Universe, Queen Dopplepopolis, Buttercup, Hellhound, Michael Morris, Frukathka (and dad Chuck), Dave Stebbins (and friend Tonya), Xath, Archon, Rel, Jester47, Angus (not sure of his EN World id), Fusangite, Der Kluge, GlassJaw, CarlZog, Crothian, Psion, Teflon Billy, CMG Mark, TruthSeeker, RangerWickett, Jedi Soth, WingsandSword, Pielorinho, Spider, Steve Jung, Joseph Browning, Suzi Yee, Boz, Cthulhu's Librarian --- my apologies to the Loyalty Officer, Hygiene Officer and Computer guy from the Paranoia game, I am going blank on your names --- also, my apologies to the many other people at the convention who I forgot to mention, although I think that remembering roughly 35 of you was quite a feat)

* Dinner with Buttercup, Dave Stebbins and Tonya at St. Elmo's on Wednesday (although the prices were ugly, the food and company were great)

* Crothian's Paranoia game (once again, apologies to the half of the group whose names I forgot - your faces and treachery will always be remembered :] )

* True Dungeon Hardcore (an extra 2 minutes and we would have won)

* My purchases and swag

* The Ennies

* The costume contest

* The football game

* The nice man who happened to be at the Auto Zone when we got there to get a radiator hose for the water pump in my car on the way out of Indy (he was able to get me on the road again when things were looking bleak)

* ...I'm sure that I missed something...

The Bad -

* The True Dungeon Hardcore delays (didn't get to bed until 3:00 am)

* The car breaking down on the way out of town yesterday

* Forgetting some of your names :(

The Ugly -

* Service at Steak-N-Shake

* The elevators at the Hyatt

Don't feel to bad, I don't remeber them all either. You and your wife did a fine job and it was a lot of fun. Thanks to the both of you. Her finest moment was probably activating the PIE and thus killing the rest of you. :cool:

You do realize that she did not die once during the game, right?

I wasn't keeping track of deaths, so nope. I therefore declare her the Winner!! :D

Yeah, she lucked out by picking the correct seat on the transport, having the PIE put her safely on its shoulder and generally not saying much, thereby not bringing unwanted attention her way. Luck Luck Luck...oh well, she appreciated being declared the winner...

The Steak and Shake got on my shitlist this year.

Never again. Not another cent.

Between Alcatraz, The Ram, Buca de Beppo, The Red Garter and White Castle there are just too many other options to put up with that Clown Car of a restaurant.

A missed opportunity. I could have used that chainsaw on her!:p
