Gen Con Minyan 2007

I was going to use some thread necromancy and cast raise thread on this baby, but I figured this was more appropiate.

Four years after the original discussion (linked), I am finally going to Gen Con this year and I'd like to know if the idea of a Gen Con minyan can be finally realized.

I'll be there all four days, and while I don't expect to have minyan every day, I think it would be cool to have it at least one morning.

So, without further ado, if you are going to Gen Con, are you up for the 1st Gen Con Minyan?

while i have friends who are both jews and gamers, i don't think any of them are going to gencon.

Yeah, I kinda figured those who know would know.

I know a few who are going already, but I figured that since the idea was discussed oh so many years ago, perhaps something could happen this year.

I'm also thinking as Gen Con draws closer, it'll be easier to get this organized.

Hey Hal, check the convention schedule of events for seminars. There are to my knowledge a gathering of non-demoninational Christian gamers and the Catholic gamers on Sunday morning, a meeting of Wiccans and affiliated faiths on Saturday night (usually) and a group of Satanists that hold black mass off site. I am sure in all that and with the number of Jewish gamers that Shabbat services are held somewhere. If not, I suggest you contact the Con as an event organizer and set it up. That way not only are you covered, it gets Con wide disemination.
