For m'self, I'm building Gencon into a 5 week holiday, so I'm coming via planes, trains and automobiles. But I'll actually be arriving in Indianapolis by car.

Leave some time for that border crossing! The yanks are a little nervous of their northern neighbour's porous border these days.

Half-way between Ottawa, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec.

And yeah, we know the border. We did both Origins and GenCon last year.

A 10 and 1/2 hour drive from scenic east-central PA. My totally paid off vehicle will have new tires and the will to get to GenCon (and back I hope!).

I'm trying to organize a roadtrip with the rest of my friends. Since we're all not too far south of Indianapolis, it shouldn't be that big of a drive.

Getting there is half the fun. . .

I figure that my longish ride will be a welcome outdoor experience, considering that I'll likely be indoors for 72+ hours straight with all these great interconnected hotels surrounding the Convention Hall!

How about a follow up - have any of the hotels in close proximity to the Con started to fill up?
