PC - are you or KidC planning to run some Dread/CoC or Dread/Delta Green, by chance? If so, I'm definitely interested in playing (assuming I attend, of course!).

A few answers

So a few questions before I commit to going:

1. Do I bring my own dice or do you guys provide them if I play at your table? Neither. You buy them at GenCon. Duh.

2. If my wife catches me sneaking a peak at some booth girl, where do I run and hide to? The anime room. The smell will keep her away.

3. If a gamer approaches me and he's weird enough to creep me out, is there spray repellant that I can use to protect myself? If not, do I throw soap at him and run? Soap does the trick.

4. If we meet a fellow poster that we don't like online, are we allowed to punch him in the nose at the con? Yes.

5. If 12 of us share the same hotel room, how do we determine who gets the bed? Or do all 12 of you guys sleep in the same bed when sharing a room? Roll a 12-sider. It'll be the only time you'll roll one

6. Am I allowed to take Gary Gygax's wife out for dinner while he's busy DM'ing you people on his wedding anniversary? Yes.

7. WotC announced D&D 4e at the last con...when they announce D&D 5e at GenCon 08, what booth should I loot first during the riots? Wizards. You can sell the minis at other booths, thereby laundering your ill-gotten gains

8. If I want to meet up with people from this website, will I need to meet people from Ennn World at one booth and then another group from E.N. World at another booth, or will both parties be in the same location? The booths are at opposite ends of the dealer hall to avoid any unfortunate... incidents.

9. Since I will be wearing Piratcat's pants, what does he look like so I know to avoid him? Like a pants-less feline, of course.

10. I'm worried that I'll be spending a lot of money at the con. How do I convince my wife to allow me to buy a pretty booth girl and take her home with me?Tell you wife you won her in a raffle.

Sorry, the Exhibition Hall is way too crowded for running. You'll have to buy something at the booth so you can pretend you're looking at the merchandise.

You point over his shoulder, yell "Look! Booth babe catfight!", and run away while he's looking for wrestling barbariennes.

No fightfighting allowed at Gen Con. You have to challenge him to a lightsaber duel.

Gleemax's. No real reason. I just don't like him.

Tell the booth girl is a reference model for miniature painting. Remember to buy some paint while you're there, or your wife might not fall for it. I'm not sure what you need to buy to make the booth girl fall for it. Maybe chloroform.

For those that have family that aren't into games, I suggest bribing them to come along. No, I'm serious, my youngest daughter dropped out of gaming almost before she started; she came with us last year and I told my wife to let her choose a game and play by herself, sans family.
She did, she killed a Nazi with a shotgun and has been a born again gamer ever since!!

Piratecat, please wear pants to the ENnies, glad KidC is back, can't wait to meet Xath's little sister, and of course Queen D, Mr the Universe, and Rodrigo. I actually want to meet Hypersmurf this year, I know he was at the ENnies but I was working the sound both and only barely got a chance to run into Morrus (luckily, Queen D invited me to her BBQ post GenCon so I got a better chance to hang out there (we need to do that again BTW)). And of course Teflon Billy, Crothian and the rest of the regulars.

I think I'm going to do things a little different this year. I want to do the Killer Breakfast, and I think my group is entering the D&D Open again, but I want a chance to just chill on one day and take in the exhibit hall for some serious shopping and playtesting. Last year, even though I had time scheduled, it felt like a Frankstein's monster of events in the hall. I may bow out of Thursday activities just to accomplish that goal.
