Because he edited them after we "EEEEVIIILLL NUTKINLANDERS!!" read them, vomited a bit, read some more, drank heavily to try to wash away the words(THE GOGGLES! THEY DO NOTHING!!!), and showed them around a bit to people who didn't quite realize how creepy he was, after he'd threatened to sue the boards for the opinions of the users, that his incessant pimping of a product colliquially known as the Book of Elf Porn was rather creepy, and his tantrums over people not taking aforementioned product seriously were rather sad.

So, in short, he deleted the rape fantasies to try to disavow all knowledge of them and claim that it was just a big conspiracy to cost him his *snortle* "RPG Design Career". *snortle*

I think you are misinterpreting my motives. I'm not trying to "do" anything. You asked for advice. She asked for advice. Since it was on an internet message board, I figured you were looking for advice from anyone who might be reading, so I gave it. You may take it or leave it as you choose. Were I in your position, I'd skip the Con. Were I in her position, I'd be disappointed in you if you didn't. It's that simple.

Years ago, I went away to college, leaving a boyfriend behind. At the time, neither of us really understood that I was going on to a new life. I certainly didn't go with the idea that I was going to find someone else. But absence does not necessarily make the heart grow fonder. It happend to me, it could happen to Caryn.

I didn't have any motivation for posting beyond that. If you wish, you can call me the voice of experience. That's certainly the only motivation I had for posting. If you wish to ascribe some other, more sinister aim to me and my comments, you are naturally free to do so, but quite incorrect.

I had a whole post here about the difference between real people and online personalities especially where the rules are more 'loose' as it may. But I deleted it for it need not bear repeating.

And for the record, Caryn has read my entire Livejournal.

That's one of the bravest women I've ever known then. I salute her sir for she can weather a storm like no other!

All the more reason he should be looking to spend quality time with you while he can - which in his way, he is trying to do. Clearly there will be other conventions, there may not be another ruaalien2. The fact that you so clearly want him to enjoy himself should be enough for him to put aside any angst over missing the con, and take the option that makes the most sense from both a financial and a relationship standpoint.

I understand what your saying, but I'm trying to see it from his view also, and I understand where he is coming from, which is why I am trying to compromise (coming in Friday-Sunday).
