I'm going to ruin some pick up games of the Whisperring Woodwind. I've run it before and have had lots of fun with it as well as having interesting premade characters to provide.

Err, i was just thinking about the samething, due to scheduling problems i didn't get to run at the Tampa game day and i have a stack of pre-gens.

Hmmm, i may have to rethink that plan. Too much of a good thing and all that.

Dareoon Dalandrove,

Thanks for including me! :)

But I must "warn" you, any game I attend will also have my wife at it. We are sort of inseperable. (you met her at P-Cat's last Game Day).
As Sir Osis and Shadow64 can attest, she is a lot of fun to play with!

But I don't want to impose on your hospitality. If you have two seats open, excellent. If you do not, it's all good.

Finally, the game itself. I saw Ghost in the shell about 6 years ago. My wife has never seen it. Can you tell me (us) anything as a build-up or background for the session? Got a good website? (In English) ;)

Finally, my schedule is filling up fast, but as it solidifies, I'll better know when I'm free. In addition to attending your pick-up, I just might run one of my own!

Starship Supers, anyone?

SO far, I am running the Buffy RPG at 12:30 (I think) on Saturday and Dying Earth Friday Night at 7:30. I think.

Like I said, I'll let you know.

I can switch to something else with ease. I've had a chance to run it so go ahead and you run it, I've got other games I'd like to run as well.

:D You wouldn't have to twist my leg.

That's cool, thanks Crothian.:D

At this rate i'm thinking about planning my schedule around all the cool pick-up games.

Yeah, I'll also be at GenCon with 2 of my players and would love to get into some of your pick-up games - I deliberately left a lot of free time on my schedule for them :)

I'll be the guy running around with a 'Rat Bastard' hat on :D

Man, I'd love to play with all of you - so many games, so little time... I guess if I knew when you were running your games it'd be easier.

Leo, it'd be cool to run through one of the GDQ series with ya - we could have a conversation outside of 'Angry Chair' for once ;)

I'd love to play in a D20 Modern game, too. I've read through the book but I'm having a hard time deciding what i want to use it for.

And of course Mark, Sir Osis, Crothian, you know I'd like to sit down and play with y'all. One of the most exciting things about going to GC for me is the chance to meet my ENfriends face to face :)

RUIN?

Gospog-not a problem. I'll send a general information packet out before gencon but here is the basics.

Ghost in the Shell is set in the future. The line between man and machince has blurred. Cyborgs no longer science fiction. Cyber brains allow for direct connectivity between others and computers. This lead to Ghost Hacking (the movie) were a persons concious could be over written and controlled by the hacker. Cyber crime is quite different from what it is today as everything is computerized. People have ports at the base of their skulls for connections.

Cybernetic bodies and parts were first tested in war time medical studies. Technolgy progressed so far that the human body became obsolete. "However, it expanded no further; lengthy and costly maintenance, difficult machine-flesh consistency, and mental repulsions were too much of a block to make a mass penetration." This mental repulsiongave birth the the Stand Alone Comlpex. People that remained pure and thus were cut off from much of the world (TV show).

So you have cyborgs, some in the traditional "Human form" some not. Cyber brains that are great for the PC's because as long as your brain survives you can always get a new body (although quite expensive). Humans with cybernetic parts and the like.

It's just a quick run down. Here is the link for the TV series now airing in Japan. It's very good. It may sound like Shadowrun but it's deffinatly not and No magic.

That is were things like the Tachikoma and the Thermoptic suits in my Gear thread in the modern board come from.

It's a good site. There are short movies, art and design pics, and more story information. I could lend you a copy of some of the movies.

Well, I never said I was any good at running things :D

Any suggests as to what to run? I am thinking of getting in touch with Ashy and seeing what adventures he's written and possible run one of them.
