GenCon d20 Pick up games

No need for thanks. I'd like to see everyone who wants to run pick up games for Enworlders post here so we can have an unoffical schedual.

The Questus thing sounds cool too, espcially if someone would be able to go through the entire set mentioned.

For the past few years its been difficult to find a spot for pickup games at GC, but it looks like things have taken a turn for the better:

The reason we had to forego open gaming areas the last few Gen Con's was indeed due to space considerations. We will have an open gaming area this year but I have not yet finalized the exact location. Stay tuned to our website and floor plans will eventually reflect that.

Well played, Capt. C, as usual, and I'll hold off on Emailing about the possibility about a "specific" place for EN Pick-Ups until we can better guage the full extent of the interest.

S64, we'll definitely try to arrange things so that the full run is possible, at least for some folks. Probably after most preregging is done, we should get folks to post their schedule..or at least post the times they know they will be free and interested in the pick-up games.

Might still be a bit early to tell, unless some of you already are sure of your schedules.

My guess is it will have to wait until after May begins since (as Capt. C has gracious supplied us with the info) they will still be adding games to the GenCon schedule and not everyone is yet sure how that will shake out. *shrug* Let's keep posting our wishing and guessing and we'll start forming a more solid plan after the first, eh?

Estimated arrival time 19:00
Friday, 7/25
12:30-2:30 (Weird Wars I believe)
19:00-23:00 (AD&D: Rokugan)
Saturday, 7/26
08:00-12:00 (DMing Oathbound)
12:30-4:30 (All Flesh Must Be Eaten)
19:00-23:00 (Heartquest D20)
Sunday, 7/27
08:00-12:00 (DMing Oathbound)
and probably leaving shortly after this

Since I plan on getting very little sleep at the Con, that leaves plenty of time! It looks like the best time for me to get into or run pick-ups would be Thursday evening after I check in to the hotel and Friday morning and afternoon. And if any of you are night owls like I am I'll probably be awake until around 3 AM each night...

I think we should definitely plan on running a late night game on Thursday, perhaps this could be for the folks running CMG games on the other days so they have had a chance to go through the ones they hadn't yet seen by then AKA Me running the fourth installment for the other CMG DMs and a few other folks. How's that sound to get the ball rolling?
