A friend of mine back in KC had this idea once, and the more I think about it, the cooler I think it is.
His idea was this - charter a bus to GenCon.
We were talking about this at the NC game day. Start it somewhere like Raleigh and move it up through Richmond, over to Charlottesville and then up through Columbus and on then over to Indianapolis. Pick up gamers along the way. Everyone pays a percentage of the ride (maybe a percentage based on their total mileage driven to be fair). But, we just game and talk role-playing games all the way there.
Course, we don't have to start in Raleigh, we could do several and all converge on GenCon. If we got enough people on a single bus, it would be cheap - cheaper than gas, and you wouldn't have to drive.
Who's with me?
