Gencon Role Call

My partner and I will be at GenCon all four days... as someone said, it's occasionally useful to live 15 minutes from downtown Indy!

We're going to try to go to the Ennies, but we don't have any other specific plans.

At the risk of hijacking the thread, I have a question: What's the best way for a couple of introverts to get into a pick-up game?

well thats what this thread is for....not just rolecall.

Anyway. Around the far end of the convention floor is a set of rooms set aside for gaming. Each room holds 4-6 tables. The RPGA uses them and a few in the far rear are set aside for anyone who wants to use them. Additionally they RPGA has 1 huge auditorium like room filled with tables seperated by curtians. Those tables usually have room too.

There was also a washable marker wetboard available to write down spots in pickup games and stuff.

I would like to play in a few pick-up games but there is time to plan that stuff...

Oh yeah, and as far as pick-up games goes, I've had a couple of requests to run Stargate SG-1 and d20 Future games, so I'd say I probably will.

ask.

find the ennies booth or anyone you can find with an enworld tag on and tell them you want to play in a game.

or follow them back to their hotel and just as they open the door, rush them, pushing them inside, and demand that they run a game for you.

or start one yourself. if you do, let me know. i might be interested in playing.

Any Specific Planned Events you want fellow Enworlders to join?

Yeah, though I don't know if it will conflict with the ENWorlder outing.... but hey... it'd be cool if some of you came to play Survivor: Zombie Island. There's still like 30 slots left, and it should be a real blast!

i need to say one thing, if it hasn't been said already. last year was great, getting together with so many people i had only known online. i think it would be a damn shame to not continue that - and in fact, expand on it.
