[GenCon] RPGA with ENworlders

Zaruthustran

The tingling means it’s working!
This'll be my first GenCon, and I'm pretty excited to try out some RPGA events. But if I'm playing RPGA in Indy, I'd prefer to play with ENworlders.

So... anyone planning on playing in any RPGA events? Want to game together?

Z, I'll be deep in RPGA (w/ 1 friend) most of the Con. LG, LF, LotGR.

ftr1/clr4, soldier 3, rgr (or maybe wiz) 1.

slot summary: LG, LG, LG, LF, LF, LF, LG, LotGR, LotGR

If we're in the same slot maybe we En'ers could muster out quick!

Hmmm... do you have to register before the show? What's the URL to do this?

-z, worried that there will be a mighty penalty for last-minute attendance ;)

Registration closed on the 27th, so you have to register at site, which means lines but I think you can do it Wednesday evening.

Ah, thanks for the info. Guess I'll be registering on site.

-z, who will hopefully snag one of those enworld badges.

I signed up for two RPGA Star Wars events, but I am still lost as to how the RPGA works.
I've never played in an RPGA game before.

For example, if everyone brings their own character, won't everyone be different levels?

Please help out a newbie , and maybe I'll see you at a few of the games!

Thanks. :)

Z, I've found at GenCon that the Open usually has lots of space available for last-minute signup. That shouldn't be a big deal.

The 'Living' Events can be crowded, though, especially early in the con.

Gospog: yes, the Living Force Star Wars game, which requires you to bring a character built according to the campaign guidelines (like Living Greyhawk, etc.) has an interesting pre-game ritual called 'mustering'. This is a chaotic exchange where players try to form up into groups of 6 with other players who have characters of similar level. This way, the GM can adjust the game (which is written to accommodate this) to the level of the party that is at the table.

Make sense? In short, bring your 1st level Gungan, and then find other 1st - 3rd level Jedi wanna-bes to muster out with and then off you go!

I'll be playing on Thursday with a number of my friends. If you don't get enough ENWorlders to play let me know. You are welcome to join us.

Ysgarran (Elf 2 Ranger/2 Fighter/2 Bard/1 Dpwd Snpr).
