I'm a jock of sorts and I still find that to be hilarious.
Someone just lost thier job. This game has been scheduled for about a year, and someone forgot to book the hotel rooms or was nieve enough to think they could roll in and buy up a block the night before. I mean really how hard is it? "Hi, this is Aaron, I'm the travel coordinator for the New York Jets. Yes, we are going to need a block of rooms on the weekend of August 19th. Yes. Heres the account number."
Done.
I wonder if Peter is going to get some phone calls? "How much do we need to pay you to make sure your convention is not at the same time as our game next year?"
I'm sure there's hotel space in Wisconson...
Aaron.
