Thanks :D

BUT...

Nope cos my teachers always predict me higher grades than I actually get and I need AABB to get my university offer, plus it is sort of an excuse since its only a few days but it's right when I should be doing most revision :P

OK, by the sounds of it you are doing 4 A-levels. Eeek. Yes, you should be revising. Don't listen to me, I barely did any revision for my A-levels and still got to the university I wanted...:D

And now I'm an out of work actor, :), on the dole. Hey hum. :D

Come on! any other ENworlders going to be there?

Very good point!

Based on last years experience, where I sat up overnight chatting with other gamres, any sort of small, easy to learn card game would be much appreciated in the small hours of the morning. Chez Geek, Munchkin, whatever, just bring it!

Just arrived in the UK to work for a year or so. (Good-bye my warm beloved Australia). Also, just decided to de-lurk.

I'm tossing up whether or not to go. I've never been to a Con before and am slightly worried about not knowing anyone there, whilst everyone else has friends. Do lots of people go to these things on their own?

I went last year more or less on my own. I mean, I knew the ENworld game was happening, and I knew my brother was DMing on the Saturday, but apart from that I just got chatting with people whilst waiting to sign up for games...

Don't forget, everyone is there to have fun, and if you find a lively group chatting you'll probably find out that they only met 20mins earlier.

I know I sound like I should be earning money for promoting the event, but I really enjoyed it last year...you should come along! There might even be other people from your area looking for a gamer to join their group.

Oh, and welcome to ENWorld!

Hello Matt & Krusty! ;)

I'm planning on going. I'm not sure I'll be able to make it all four days though, perhaps only the weekend.

I'm looking forward to meeting Margaret Weis. She'll probably think I'm a complete nut when I tell her my name is Simkin (which it is IRL) as that's also the name of one of the characters in her Darksword tetralogy. :p

Hello Morbidity,

Welcome to the UK! If you've never been to a con before, you're in for a pleasant surprise. My advice is you should definitely go to GenCon. I've been to cons both by myself and with friends (Krusty and S'mon) and enjoyed both. Besides, you will be with friends - us. :)

Hey all! :)

Hey! Us ENWorlders look out for each other! At the very least you will know us. :)

Last year I think we were expecting maybe half a dozen people for the inaugural ENWorld game and Simon ended up running a game for 14 of us! :)

I'm not going to leave it to the last twenty minutes (and then get hedged out by the furore of fans) to say hello to Wayne Reynolds...and hopefully get him to autograph one of his books.
