That's inexcusable. You have my complete apology. I've already revised the first post in The Guide to Living EN World thread in an attempt to make this place a little less chaotic. Other judges are welcome to expand and improve on my efforts.

Moonstone Spider, please bear with us. We're trying to provide an environment that is both accommodating and fun for both DMs and players. Part of that is allowing enough "house rules" in to allow for creativity and fun. But another important part of that is sticking to the SRD, and making those house rules easily accessable to DM's, so that they don't get swamped with a lot of unfamiliar stuff to adjudicate. Our proposal system answers that and works well, but it does tend to clutter up the front page sometimes.

Also, we've had as many as 20 different adventure threads active at one time. That's in addition to well over a hundred concluded adventures that linger around on the back pages. Since this is a living world, events in those old adventures resonate throughout the world and can have consequences literally years in the future (if DMs and players so desire).

Since all of this stuff is active at once (proposals, adventures, in-character recruiting, and out-of-character discussion on this thread), LEW can seem a little chaotic and even intimidating to a newcomer. Again, my apologies, and I'll try to be a little more sensitive to this. I hope the other judges follow suit.
Wasn't meant as an accusation. Just that a more organized "New folks come here" thread would be nice.

I had a thought on the PoS question. What if, instead of adding in three new Paladins, the Paladin was just given so leeway to define her own code, and all four extreme alignments are allowed? Something like this:

Paladin's Code: A Paladin gains her strength and powers from rigid adherence to a Moral Code. At character generation a Paladin chooses 5 or more rules that govern her behavior. These rules must be in accordance with the Paladin's god and Alignment. The rules also must be absolute, based on words like "Always" or "Never." A Paladin has no room for wishy-washy rules with exceptions. A sample Paladin's Code for a Lawful Good Paladin of Hyrag may be:

1. Respect any Legitimate Authority.

2. Aid all who ask for it in the name of Hyrag.

3. Never leave a comrade behind.

4. Protect the Innocent at any cost.

5. Never show Mercy to Evil Creatures.

Should a Paladin accidentally or unwillingly violate her code, she falls into a state of depression for 2d6 days during which the she spends most of her time praying and meditating on her mistake. At the end of this time the Paladin reconciles herself to the fact that she is not perfect, and is forgiven by her god. While depressed a Paladin has a -4 penalty to all rolls and saves.
A Paladin who willfully violates her code or changes gods and/or alignment loses all Paladin abilities until such time as she has atoned for her errors.
Should two of a Paladin's rules come into conflict, the Paladin is treated as unwillingly violating her code when she chooses which rule she should break. GMs should not create this situation often as it could easily cause a Paladin to be depressed at all times.
Lastly a Paladin's code may not include laws which should be a natural to the character's alignment, for instance "Never use torture" is not appropriate to a Good Paladin as she would never use Torture anyway, but would be appropriate to a Lawful Evil Paladin who might want to use Torture at times otherwise.

Paladins of the same god may have quite different codes, the gods do not choose every Paladin for the same job and give them codes that will encourage them along the god's chosen path.

No accusation needed. It is what it is. When someone wanders around here for days trying to get situated, we have some housecleaning to do!

That might be a headache to adjudicate, but I'll let others comment on that. Tell you what, I'll cut and paste your alternate proposal into the "UA Paladins" thread, where I think it better fits. If someone thinks that deserves a thread of its own, we can do that, too.

I don't think anyone here read it as an accusation, and yes, we'll need some kind of Beginner's Guide I'm sure.

And I feel your pain, by the way. When I started with Living Enworld, I read all the discussion threads at that time. Obviously, though, you've had a much longer read.

So,

Are there any adventures coming down the line? Inquiring minds want to know.

I just submitted a proposal, as Tournament of Flowers II is closing up. Sounds like the three players from there will be playing, and maybe a couple of new additions.
