Wow, I've just discovered that one of my adventures still survives, in a way. Thanks RA for keeping it alive and the characters busy. How's it going? Zaeryl and Michael seem to be stuck together with only each other for company. Thats should be interesting.

And belatedly, thanks el jefe and nimisgod for picking up the mantle of D1 and D2 when I was taken out of the picture.

And RA, apologies for disappearing from your game. I hope the message got through somehow, but in case it didn't, apologies again.

Hey Doghead. Welcome back!

Jaan was injured in Niobe's Dilema, which took him out of the action, but I awarded some XP after you left. It's in the thread somewhere, or you can look at the totals in the character tracking thread.

Actually, Zaeryl and Michael made it out pretty well and then split up. Now they're slaughtering Afflicted in Great Escape :) Hopefully my ending lives up to what the actual ending was going to be ;)

Hi, folks!

I'm considering creating a new character for LEW (since I'm not sure that Father Eusebius is going to survive his current encounter :( ) and I thought I'd try my hand at a Fighter/Wizard dwarven crafter.

Can you please clarify a couple of points for me?

It seems that there are a couple of entries about craft points (here & here) - am I right in assuming that the later of the two (the one that specifies 150 cp per level) is the current one?

It also seems that the Craft Masterwork Item feat has disappeared, and that the mechanic for determining if such crafting is successful is the normal 'make a craft check' mechanic - is this correct?

That's it for now. Thanks.

Correct. The Heap of Approved Content was supposed to be a temporary repository, where approved proposals got stored while the organization of the records was worked out. The sticky thread is the authoritative one. The amendment to increase craft points by 50% was passed some time after the original proposal, and only the authoritative record ever got fixed.

Yes, the Craft System version in the Rules Sticky should be the correct one.

And yes, to craft a masterwork item, you must succeed at a DC 20 craft check to craft the masterwork component of the armor.

Correct on both counts.

I thought on something regarding the job system, specifically the Crafter job. Does it make any difference if you are using a spell (or power) like Fabricate? You don't need tools for that, and I doubt you need a workshop at all

Thanks for the confirmation. :)

A further question: I can take 10 on a Craft check, right?

Oh, and I presume my character can actually craft his own beginning equipment (once he's bought the artisans' tools)?

Crafter gives you Craft Points back, right? It would be kind of weird if you just cast Fabricate a lot and someone gained a bunch of Craft Points back that you used to make magic items.

I wasn't thinking on craft points, just that you don't need tools or a workshop when you can tell the laws of physics to shut up.
