Yeah that's the part that really got to me. I got a bit further but that's about the most of it I could do. I think I was maybe halfway through or so?

OK well there’s not really any more of that in the game, and the Force tears are optional, so I reckon you could finish it without too much more queasiness.

Star Wars problem is, they haven't created iconic characters since original trilogy. Only two exceptions are Maul and Grogu. Rest are just forgettable and unimportant. Vader, Han, Luke, Leia, Boba Fett, Yoda- they are iconic even today. Maul was cool, unique in design. Grogu is cute and so memable. Rey and crew? Not so much.

Rey’s a good character. I like Rey.

Personally, I think Finn is a bad character in TFA because he is bad at everything. He can't use the Force, he can't fly a ship, he is even poor at ground combat despite stormtrooper training. He probably didn't even do a good job of cleaning the latrines on the Starkiller base. He is like Jar Jar Binks, apart from being occasionally funny.

And Poe is an arrogant tosser. If he had died in the crash as originally planned, and properly passed his mission onto Finn, both would have been better characters.

Finn is, to borrow a term from D20 Modern, the Charismatic Hero. Especially in TFA, but in TLJ also, his ability to get people to go along with his plan despite having absolutely no idea what he's actually doing and occasionally outright lying is his skill set.
