I've had this curious thought for quite a while now.
Given that New York and Los Angeles are the two most populous cities in the country (speaking about the U.S., obviously) one would assume that a good percentage of folks who post on here would be from either city.
But in fact, it seems that the majority of people on here are from the midwest, or the south, with a smattering of folks scattered around eastern time zones as well.
In fact, I don't think I could name any person on here from either Los Angeles or New York. I do recall some people from NY being on here on 9/11 posting updates and whatnot, but I don't recall their names.
Is it just me, or does anyone else find that statistically odd? I mean, the population of NY is 8,008,278, and the population of Orange County, CA is (2001 est.) 9,637,494.
The U.S. population on 4/1/2000 was 281,421,906.
The combined populations of LA and NY is 17,645,772. That's a percentage of 6.27%. Is 6.27% of ENWorld from Los Angeles and New York?
