Get Rich Quick Schemes

So I was over at eBaum's when I saw this link: http://www.esioffers.com/campaigns/rga_hi2/?link=436&version=1

For those too lazy to click the link, the guy basicly wants to sell you a book about how to make thousands of dollors a month.

Now, call me cynical, but I find stuff like this very hard to believe. But it got me curious. So I ask, have you, or do you know of anyone who has, ever made any significant money off of something like this? Pyramid schemes?

How about that book the fruity guy covered in question marks sells?

Oh, I know. I'm just wondering if it is possible to actually make money with some of this stuff. I figure, out of all the scams you see, at least one of them had to pay off for somebody.

Or not...

Yep - whoever was selling that book. :) The irony of get-rick quick schemes is that they work -- for the original conceiver of them.

Matthew Lesko - it's eerie how I know that. :)

In theory, the U.S. Gov't does hand out grants all the time - but the problem is, once people know about them, they dry up like a Gold Rush town.

I know people who lost money one those.
The in the question marks has made a lot of money off of these in a way, He's gotten rich on selling his book on how to get rich.
To find out if it works or not you would most likely have to by the book, by the time you find out that they don't work or that a lot of the information already in those books is available free if you do a little research, He's got your money in his bank and lookee here no refunds, aw isn't that a shame. :(

You want to get rich quick?, by the winning lotto ticket.

Also, just so anyone thinking about it knows, if anyone decides this is the perfect venue for their personal make money fast pitch--

Don't. Thready go closey, and postey get deletey. Quickey.

I had a friend in college get in early on some pyramid schema, and he made $400 I think, but I imagine a lot of other people lost money to, because no matter how cool those are, they also trickle out - fast, so the people on the bottom of the pyramid get screwed - every time.

Think about it this way... If these folks who are selling you a "get rich quick scheme" really had a way to get rich quick, don't you think they'd be doing it rather than telling you how to do it?

The same is true of those infomercials on late at night about how you can make lots of money buying houses with no money down. These aren't real-estate moguls, even if they want you to believe they are.

To put it another way, if you stumbled on a way to always win at Blackjack, and it really worked, would you sell a book on how to do it, or would you hop the first plane to Vegas?

I hear that. Hell, I learned that. Personally.

I think the best 'get-rich-quick' plan is to get a few tough buddies together, arm yourselves to the teeth, find a few spellcasters, and somebody who is pretty sneaky. Now, find yourself a great big scaley monster that sleeps on piles of gold and gems and jewelry. Head on into this critters house and just go completely medeival on it. I mean, you want to whack this thing into next century. Fast too, 'cause they are tough. If you are feeling generous, patch up the guys that are hurt the worst and figure out what to do with your dead buddies. Split up the heaps of gold and gems and jewelry, head back to town.
