Giants in the Earth discussion: Jack Sparrow and Pirates of the Carribean

Sorry to threadcrash, but I'm drunk and I've got writer's block :]

I'm trying to write a book - fantasy novel, parallel universe. There's a great character. He's a captain of a ship. He's not a pirate, but whenever I try and write ANYTHING about him, Jack Sparrow just pops up in my head and obliterates anything original in him. It's so annoying! Sparrow's so cool he just beats my captain into the ground :(

Easiest solution is to make him (her?) the anti-Sparrow. Aristocratic, prim, methodical, disciplined, and cultured. The name of his ship is a classical allusion. Rather than rum, he probably buys his crew a barrel of a different fine brandy each voyage, to educate them on the nuances of quality spirits. He has studied under seven different renowned fencing masters, and fights like an elegant, poised mincing machine. He invites his respected enemies over for port and cigars, and is impeccably polite to the ladies. You get the idea...

I'm not going to commit to any numbers, but certainly a high Charisma and Dexterity score. Probably a slightly above average Constitution and Intelligence. Strength would be average. Wisdom would be his weak spot (dump stat).

As for his level, I'd see him in the 6-10 range.

He's pretty good with his sword and I don't remember him sneak attacking anybody. So I'm thinking his rogue levels are martial rogue levels (UA variant.)

Tia Dalma is HOT. I mean, she's HOT. Okay, wait I can do this. She's a HOT HOT druidess, 7th or 8th level, TN obviously.

Well she can apparently bring people back from the dead so I'd say cleric with enough levels to cast Raise Dead. Now we just need to figure out what is a good voodoo type deity that grants the HAWTNESS domain. Good lord she is smokin'

Yes, I was so overcome by her hotness I forgot that she would be a superhot ultrasexxy cleric, not a HOTHOT druid. Of course. Of course.

I'd make him a 3/3 Rogue Barbarian, with less of an intense rage outlook and more of a "I'm fighting now, must overcome sun-stroke for a little while."

Strength 12, Dex 15, Con 13 (Used to be 16, but he contracted syphilis), Int 10, Wis 9, Cha 13. (Not that many characters in the movie even like Sparrow.)

Oh, that's just the people who are mad at him. He nonetheless seems to be charismatic enough to earn their respect when they think he's dead, though.

"So you've heard about me."
- "You're just a small dirty pirate without a ship!"
"But you've heard about me!"

Not only does this provide the Charisma based armor bonus, but gives a nod to Jack's persuasive personality and certainly helps explains why Elizabeth becomes so enamoured with the good captain. (Other than the fact that he's Johnny Depp and that pretty much comes with the territory.)

So how's this for a Jack Sparrow Prestige Class Ex Ability: You are Johnny Depp.

:p
