Give Chase! Expanding the Core Chase Rules!

Chase scenes never works at the table like the ones in the movies. In your mind, they’re action-packed and thrilling, but in reality, they’re a tedious slog that which grinds your game to a halt. They’re the reason you cringe when your players decide to pursue those fleeing goblins. New for En5ider patrons, a brand new artlcle by James Introcaso and illustrated by Ellis Goodson. Good expansion to the rules with very helpful new Complication charts. Just wish the article had mentioned the original DMG page numbers, pp252-255.
 



I've never really noticed this being a problem. Most of my chase scenes have worked out fine. Is this a problem a lot of DMs have experienced?
 

Guys...

as I understand it, there any legal reason why you cant refer to page numbers in a product as long as you do not copy the information in that product. as long as you give the company credit and mention that the product and its trademark are owned by wizards your good to go. Referencing a reader does not invoke any copy write protection issues.

much like how a novel can describe a character reading a superman comic book. as long as the book is not transcribed into the novel and the novel acknowledges that Superman is DC's your good to go.. (see the novel Ready Player One)
