D&D 5E Glacier's Edge lastest Drizzt Novel

I thought that since Dragons of Deceit got a thread Glacier's Edge should too.

Thoughts on the novel?

There was one section of the book that just felt like frustrating spinning tires, but other parts were good to great, especially the last part.

I enjoyed it. Any spinning tires bits seem kind of par for the course for a middle book of a trilogy, especially one with at least three separate major storylines going on like this one. The new expansion of the lore around the Drow is neat, and yes, the last bit was pretty epic.

The part that surprised me the most was...

Galathae is a Paladin of Eilistraee, which is shocking because RA Salvatore is not a fan of that Goddess, I don't know if WotC pressured him to do that or even just gave to pressure from Eilistraee fans or just changed his mind on Eilistraee. I also loved that the big villian was the Slaadi Lord Ygorl instead of usual types of Godly villians [Spoiler/]

Yeah, I don’t know the inside baseball on this, but I like seeing Eilistraee show up here. It makes sense to see other populations of worshipers for her, since otherwise I was never really clear how she managed to collect enough worshipers at all just from rogue drow.
