I could be imagining this or mixing it with another show because it's been one of those weeks.. but, when the teacher bought the new car and had (forget her name - the counselor he likes) in it with him, he turns on the radio (or CD?) and starts singing along with it. But it only lasts a few moments.

The whole idea of trying to make Christopher Cross relevant to today's teens is hilarious.
The thing I remember best about him (besides Sailing and Arthur's Theme) was that he definitely did not have a face for video, and MTV was ascendent just as his career was taking off. Not being terribly photogenic probably killed his career, though just a few years earlier it wouldn't have made much of a difference.
