Michael Morris First Post Jan 24, 2004 #2 Somebody forgot to set the system clock. Linux machines default to Jan 1, 1970 as their start time. If you adjust your time to be in the Pacific time zone you can get Dec 31 1969. It's fixed now. Both the system and hardware clocks have been reset.
