Keith's work on Eberron is fantastic. He continually approaches concepts in Eberron as "What would work best for the themes and concepts of the setting in your game", with concepts like canon being, at best, secondary.
There are things of "this is how I play, but here are other ideas too" and "this is what we thought was true, but this is also true." that so many (here and elsewhere) could learn from for sure.

Exactly. "There are fiendish gnolls, and here's how they work" alongside "These are humanoid gnolls, with some fiendish influence from their history, and here's how they work" is a great example of how new lore and old lore can work together seamlessly.
