Goad / Taunt ?

Hi all -
I was trying to determine if there is an effect that could grant someone an ability like the knight's test of mettle ability. This would basically force opponents in combat to attack the character in favor of other nearby creatures.

Really, all you need, though, is a good mind for insults, and a DM who's willing to allow that sort of thing.

For instance, if you were wanting to do something of this nature on a Rakshasa, you could achieve that end by running off to one side and shouting at it "Yo, Tuna-breath! Here, kitty-kitty-kitty!"

While that might work for some games, if it was going to be a generally usable ability, I'd rather see a full house rule with appropriate skill check than hoping the DM feels like letting me get away with it.

I look for a hard rule for that kind of thing - because as soon as it is absolutely necessary, the DM could shoot down that kind of thing because of the situation. Thanks again.
