Halflings are Dex/Cha. We don't need another Dex/Cha small race. There are still a few dual-stat combinations which haven't been covered yet.
I am guessing goblins may be filling in the dex/cha niche?
the missing and much-needed INT/CON.
Githyanki are Int/Con, but it seems like they're pulling back from those as a playable race.Int/Con is wanted.
Only if the goblins bring the hobgoblins with them.I'd much rather have goblins than a completely new race like the wilden.
Revenant and Gnoll. Which one don't folks like?Dex/Con might be interesting. The main Dex/Con race is DDI-only, and nobody seems to like them much.
I agree with this. I think hobbos are cool, and it would give another Con/Cha race. Meaning Half-Elves don't get that niche by themselves. The ability to get an instant save is also nice.Only if the goblins bring the hobgoblins with them.
I'd much rather have goblins than a completely new race like the wilden.
Now, a single passage from the latest splatbook doesn't prove anything, but like the other posters over at the WotC boards, I thought that it was notable since goblins are mentioned with two of the three confirmed PHB3 races. Also, since 3e, there's been a tradition of psionic goblins and a lot of people think that there will be at least one small race per PHB. At the very least, I give this more credence than the re-appearance of gnolls because there was a picture of one in AV2.
I'm with you here. I still can't believe they gave us Castor without Pollox. The thing is, if they're going to bring in Goblins or Gnolls, why the rant about no Githyanki as a playable race? That just irks me, since Githyanki seem to fit a good niche (mechanically and flavor-wise), and seem to be rather popular...
