GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

As a follow-up to the summoning spell question, what level would a spell that works just like Rain of the Iron Golems be if it summoned Iron/Adamantine Colossi?

3 Spell Levels Higher.

Secondly, what CR would the 3.5e ELH Colossi

If I was doing them probably CR 20, 24 an 28.

(and the Diamond/Adamantine Colossi) be in the 5e book?

Adamantine would be CR 36.

The Diamond Golem I had in the book was far too weak for the cost of the thing.

A Diamond Golem alone should probably be CR 28 ish (Collosi +12 CR )- I'll work out the details when I come to it.

@Upper_Krust , I thought you might find this comment from Roll and Play Press over on there AMA about their new DnD Beyond product:

"6) Kickstarter is a totally different ball game to what it used to be around 2020 - probably because everyone was sat at home in lockdown with the pandemic back then. For our first project, we did no marketing at all in the first 10 days and got to around £20K, then we started running very simple ads, and it rapidly got to £250k with more than 7,000 backers. That was with having no track record on the platform. Something like that just couldn't happen for us now. But, as our Kickstarter success came pretty out of the blue, we were cautious from the beginning that it might not last forever, so we went all-in on building our website and nailing our ecommerce fulfilment process. We're at a stage now where we don't have to rely completely on income from Kickstarter or even distribution."

Thanks amigo - I just replied to them.

My plan is to run Facebook Ads for 60 days (30 days before and 30 days during). But unsure if Facebook is better than Instagram or that I should do both or other places?

I wrote a big article all about that a few years ago. The landscape has changed a bit since then, but most of it still hold true.

Hah--back then I'd run "over 20 Kickstarters". We're now approaching our 60th!

Hey U_K! I was wondering, in terms of Mythic Forms, exactly how powerful in terms of CR would a PC's Mythic Form be in comparison to their standard form, and secondly, what would be the best way to recreate something similar to Kaido's dragon form with a Dragon Purview Immortal's Mythic Form?

Its tricky to judge but that fact you essentially need to beat them 'again' is itself close to a +4 CR jump. So I'll go with that.

I list one possible Mythic Form for each Purview but you could always make your own based on the examples.

One idea is that the Mythic Form power is functionally equivalent to a Divine Boon from the next higher tier. So its akin to a more powerful Boon.

and secondly, what would be the best way to recreate something similar to Kaido's dragon form with a Dragon Purview Immortal's Mythic Form?

I don't know enough about Kaido's Dragon Form to comment - what can you tell me about it?

If we're talking about the character from One Piece (more specifically, about his full transformation, and not his human/dragon form), then it's basically him turning into a huge dragon; the Asian kind that's very long and serpentine. In that form, he has a breath weapon that can annihilate a mountain (or at least, part of a mountain) and at one point creates some kind of "astral construct" of his dragon form around himself that's truly massive in size.

A good way (with my minimal knowledge of One Piece) to explain Kaido's shtick is that he can basically transform into a Great Wyrm dragon as his Mythic Form, so I was wondering if a Dragon Purview Immortal could do something similar, i.e a DR 2-ish Immortal replacing their physical body with a Great Wyrm Red/Gold Dragon.

Secondly, is there a template/monster type that could be easily converted into making an Undertale/Deltarune Amalgamate/Memoryhead/Goner-type creature? (Which are soulless aberrations that are likely immune to fate and consist of multiple entities literally melting into each other)

okay thanks for the info Alzrius and ArcanistD.

I didn't go with the Huge Dragon mythic form for the God of Dragons simply because I thought it was something they should be able to do as a Divine Boon.

I also have a Dragon Breath divine boon that will stack IF you already have a Dragon Breath and double the range.

For a Mythic Form you could take a form +4 CR better. Indeed one of the mythic forms is that you gain a Divine rank.

For a breath weapon to annihilate a mountain, not simply a part of a mountain, it needs to be dealing around 300-400 dice of damage. I think you'd need to be at least a Greater Deity for something like that.

Gestalt monsters are possible. But something I'll cover in more depth within the Bestiary.
