Gods and constant resurrections

What do you think most deities would think of the D&D habit of having each character raised from the dead multiple times? With true resurrection death isn’t even much of an inconvenience. Wouldn’t Nerull or Hades get a little pissed with mortals playing around with his bailiwick?

Now there's a cool recurrent villain theme for a campaign, all these death cultists out to get you 'cause you keep cheating their god.

'course in my campaigns only appropriate gods (like death) give out resurrection magic to their priests in the first place. And you can take your gold and insert it nasally, selling magic is for merchants, not priests.

In the book "Touched by the Gods" by Atlas games they have an organization The Order of Ending. A group devoted to stoping resurections and hunting down people who have been resurected.

I guess it would depend on the mortal, the circumstances, and the specifics of the god.

If the god wants to encourage deaths and the mortal resurrected is likely to cause a lot more, then they might be all for it.

The god could always send the person a little message on their way out as well- if they want to be allowed this traffic, then they better start serving the wishes of the god.. or else they might find their soul travels a bit bumpy.
