Going from "Hey! It's that guy!" to "Hey! It's Locke!"

Adventurer
So I took a day off yesterday and was flipping around at home. I came across Blind Fury, an old 80's movie with Rutger Hauer as a blind master. Anyway, one of the main characters was played by Terry O'Quinn (Locke on "Lost" if you didn't know ;)).

And today I found out that he, O'Quinn, played the starship Admiral who came aboard the Enterprise and was Riker's ex-commanding officer. They secretly went to get a device that would allow the ship to cloak and pass through solid matter.

Anyway, when I saw his picture when Lost first premiered, I thought it was cool that he was going to be in it because I'd seen his work before. Now, I think it's great that he's gone from "Hey! It's that guy!" to being recognized as a successful character. :)

I do this a lot, it is amazing how long some of these actors have been around doing things like Star Trek, B5, Murder She Wrote, etc.

Did you see Super-volcano on the Discovery Channel Sunday night, it was filled with semi-regulars from Stargate!

"Hey, it's Aragorn" is pretty common. Viggo Mortenson has made about a hundred movies, but I don't think I'd ever heard his name until Lord of the Rings.

Heh.

When I first found out "that guy" was playing Aragorn it was: "Hey, it's Satan."
